Talk about a bunch of comedians! On Monday and Tuesday of this week I met with the DJs of Star 104 for two very amusing portrait sessions. Andie & Ty strutted their stuff on Monday while Craig, Jessica, and Baxter exposed their inner models on Tuesday.

It was a little strange to be surrounded by people who you only know by their voices! You always picture the face differently in your head than it actually appears in real life. This is one group of DJs who definitely don't have a 'face for radio'.

We met at Lighthouse Beach at Presque Isle for the photos. They turned out great! Here are some of my favorites. The entire session will be online in about a week.

a really busy month!

Hello all. This blog is a little different than the blogs I usually post because it's not about one specific photo session or event. It's about a very busy upcoming month at the studio!

On July 29 I will be photographing the engagement portraits of Bill & Sandell who are planning an October wedding. We will have a beautiful backdrop at the Riverside Inn--one of my favorite spots to photograph people!

On July 30 & 31 I will have the pleasure of photographing the DJs of Star 104 at Presque Isle. It's bound to be a fun session! The photos will be online and viewable for anyone interested in having a peak.

Next week I will be taking some last minute engagement portraits of Nick & Kat (and their adorable French Bulldog, Flora) who are planning their wedding for August 5th in Sagertown and will follow with a celebration at the Sunset Inn in Erie. The Sunset Inn is probably the most popular location for wedding receptions in the Erie area because of it's beautiful landscaping and spectacular views of Lake Erie. I will also be attending their rehearsal on the 3rd.

The following weekend--on the 11th, Michelle & Pat will become officially hitched at the Sunset Inn. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the grounds of the Inn and should be absolutely gorgeous. I will also be attending their rehearsal the evening before.

On the 19th I will be photographing a birthday party for a very special soon to be 4 year old girl. The party will be complete with enormous bouncy inflatables and lots of sugar-rushed munchkins!

In the meantime, keep your eyes open for a collages.net even everyone can enjoy. I will be posting an event of my personal work, which is mainly of flowers. The photographs will be available for purchase as photographic paper prints or canvas prints. Get a sneak peak below!

Although this will be a busy few weeks for me, I'm really looking forward to it! There is nothing I have more fun doing than taking photographs!

See you all soon! :)

portraits::alexis

Everytime I meet a new family they quickly become my favorite. I never forget those who I have photographed in the past. They are still my favorites. Saturday, July 21 was no exception to my 'rule'. I met with Lucas & Nicole at Frontier Park to photograph their almost 2 year old daughter Alexis.

Alexis is the coolest tot you will ever meet. The girl knows what she wants and she keeps her thoughts brief. Any question you ask her will be answered with a "yep" or "nope" and anything she wants from you will be your name followed by a one word command, like "mama sit", "mama stick", or "dada bye-bye".

This is my absolute favorite age of kids. That year from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2. After that, they learn how to really share their opinions and officially transition to "kid". (I know! I have an almost 4 year old!)

The entire session will be online this weekend. :) Here is a sneak-peak at a select few images.

07-07-07. Not just a day for weddings! I met with the Dibble family at Presque Isle's Lighthouse Beach for some very special family portraits. Mom & Dad, six kids, three significant others, and three adorable granddaughters all showed up to commemorate a special birthday of Mom's/Grandma's. And it just so happened that 13 others managed to keep the photo session a surprise!

We had a lot of fun--especially the little ones when they got the chance to splash around in Lake Erie. They manged to keep their spotless white dresses squeaky clean.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. You can view the entire event on collages.net.

hitched: Kim & Matt

With a perfect day at hand, what better to do than get married? The perfectly clear and sunny skies and the perfect not-too-warm summer temperature all added up to the perfect wedding day. Kim & Matt held their ceremony on the campus of Mercyhurst College in the Christ the King Chapel on Friday, June 22, 2007. The church was absolutely breathtaking with it's old world architecture and soft lighting. Their reception followed at the Lake Shore Country Club overlooking Lake Erie. Bridal Portraits: Marie

With an absolutely gorgeous summer day and perfectly comfortable temperatures, there is nothing more fun to do than photograph a glowing bride. Well, maybe there is--but I can't think of anything that I'd enjoy more.

On Sunday afternoon I met with Marie at the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, PA. The breathtaking gardens around the large property served as the backdrop for our bridal portraits.

We had a lot of fun and spent about an hour covering the grounds of the spectacular Inn. We even made a few new friends who all agreed what a beautiful bride Marie will make.

Portraits: Madeline

Baby girls. What more can I say? They are just the most fun thing on the planet to photograph! All the little baby clothes to change into and out of, the shoes, the accessories... it's all fun! And today was no exception when eight month old Madeline came in for her portraits. She arrived asleep (which was a great photo-opp!) but Mom soon woke her up ever so pleasantly to start our session.

Madline had tons of fun with the little ducks (like so many kids do!) and even brought some toys of her own to add to the pictures. My absolute favorite outfit that she wore was her super-stylin' bathing suit! What a little cutie this girl is.
